What is a Submission?
A submission is a presentation given by an individual or organisation to any of South Africa’s National or Provincial Parliaments, when legislation is pending or being developed. These Parliaments give interested parties the opportunity to forward their research and opinions to law makers in written and sometimes oral form. Submissions are usually made to the relevant portfolio committees – for example, a submission on the national Social Assitance Act would be made to the portfolio committee in the National Parliament which deals with social development.
Hardcopies available from the national office.
